Health Camp - May 11, 2011 The members of Nanhe Kadam, a non-profit with an objective to support health and education of economically disadvantaged children, organized a Health camp on the 11th of May at Government Primary School, Village Kharak Mangoli, Panchkula. A thorough health check up of the children including eye, ear, nutrition level, dental and general examination was conducted. 15 Doctors from GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh including dentists who had volunteered for the camp, examined more than 400 children of the village. They prescribed medicines for nutritional deficiencies, infections, etc. which were provided to the children for free by Nanhe Kadam. Dr. Dilpreet Kaur Randhawa, a member of Nanhe Kadam affirmed that with the successful completion of this camp, Nanhe Kadam had medically examined more than 950 children in the past year. Mrs. Renu Goel, advisor of Nanhe Kadam, stated that Nanhe Kadam tries to motivate young dwellers of the tri-city to volunteer for such events and inculcate in them a feeling of giving back to the society.
